Paranormal Activity is reborn with teaser for new entry Next of Kin

September 17, 2021 by EJ Moreno

Are you ready to enter the found-footage world of Paranormal Activity again? The long-running horror franchise is returning, coming to Paramount+ this October.

The film is called Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin. Little is known about the film, besides what is teased in the trailer and noted in the press release. “From Paramount Players, the new film will bring fans an unexpected reimagining of the beloved horror franchise,” says the film’s press release.

The short teaser, which you can find below, sees the film series leaving the haunted house aesthetic in the first films. If the teaser suggests anything, Paranormal Activity will be leading down the cult/commune environment route.

Helming the movie is William Eubank, known for his 2020 film Underwater. Penning the script is Christopher Landon, who wrote the second, third and fourth installments and wrote and directed The Marked Ones. The film stars Emily Bader, Roland Buck III, Dan Lippert, and Henry Ayers-Brown.

Producing this new entry are Jason Blum and original Paranormal Activity director Oren Peli, while the film is executive produced by Christopher Landon, Steven Schneider, and Jenny Hinkey.

Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin premieres exclusively on Paramount+ on October 29th.
