See Charlie Cox address rumours of Daredevil appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home

September 5, 2021 by Amie Cranswick

For over a year now rumours have been swirling that Charlie Cox is set to make his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as he reprises his role as Matt Murdock – a.k.a. Daredevil – in December’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, with fans even speculating that his arms may have made an appearance in the first trailer for the Spidey threequel.

Cox has already denied the Matt Murdock Arms Theory, and during an interview with YouTuber Steve Varley about his new crime drama Kin, the actor addressed all of the speculation, sidestepping the question about whether we’ll be seeing Daredevil this December.

“You know, I also…it makes me…I wouldn’t want to ruin something either way,” states Cox (via CBM). “It makes me a little anxious in that regard. It’s a difficult thing to talk about. All I would say is, I guess everyone, myself included, is just going to have to wait and see what happens.”

For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.

Spider-Man: No Way Home sees Jon Watts (Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home) directing Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Zendaya (MJ), Marisa Tomei (Aunt May), Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds), Tony Revolori (Flash Thompson), Jamie Foxx (Electro) and Alfred Molina (Doctor Octopus).
