Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to undergo reshoots in November and December

October 30, 2021 by Gary Collinson

Once upon a time, news that a movie such as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness undergoing weeks of reshoots would typically have sent alarm bells ringing, more often than not signalling that a studio was desperately looking to pull off a last minute salvage job.

However, additional photography has become commonplace in the industry these past few years, and so it won’t come as too much of a surprise to hear that the Sam Raimi-directed Doctor Strange sequel is set heading back in front of the cameras this November – possibly explaining its recent release date push from March to May 2022.

“[I’m] very excited,” said Benedict Cumberbatch during an appearance on The Today Show (via CBM). “Sam Raimi’s at the helm, so expect extraordinary things, and yeah, we’re in the middle of making it even better. We’ve got some reshoots coming up in November and December, and then it comes out in May, and I guess you’ll have to wait until then.”
