Chris Pratt is chased by an Atrociraptor in Jurassic World Dominion image

December 22, 2021 by Amie Cranswick

While we’re yet to see a trailer for Jurassic World Dominion, we’ve had a five-minute prologue short film and a couple of first look images featuring Chris Pratt’s Owen Grady and Bryce Dallas Howard’s Claire Dearing in the past few weeks, and now Empire has unveiled another new image from the sixth instalment in the Jurassic Park franchise.

This latest promo shot features Pratt’s Owen riding a motorcycle as he looks to escape a pursuing Atrociraptor – the cousin of the series’ fearsome Velociraptors, as explained by director Colin Trevorrow in an interview with the outlet.

“It’s a sequence set in Malta,” states the director. “And the picture speaks for itself – it’s Chris Pratt being chased by an Atrociraptor. And if they catch up, he’s gonna die, I can tell you that… Where the Velociraptor is a little bit more of a stealth hunter, the Atrociraptors are a bit more brutish,” Trevorrow explains. “These things will just come at you. And in this particular case, they’ve picked his scent, and they’re not going to stop until he’s dead. They’re pretty brutal. They’re pretty vicious.”
