Exclusive Interviews – Robbie Amell, Avan Jogia and Tom Hopper talk Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City

January 7, 2022 by Gary Collinson

The Resident Evil franchise returns with the digital release of Sony’s Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, a new adaptation of the iconic survival horror video game franchise from director Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down).

In the lead-up to the film’s release, Flickering Myth’s EJ Moreno got the opportunity chat with cast members Robbie Amell, Avan Jogia and Tom Hopper about Welcome to Raccoon City and bringing the characters of Chris Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy and Albert Wesker to life; check out the interviews below, and be sure to give us a follow on YouTube for more exclusive video content…

Returning to the origins of the massively popular RESIDENT EVIL franchise, fan and filmmaker Johannes Roberts brings the games to life for a whole new generation of fans. In RESIDENT EVIL: WELCOME TO RACCOON CITY, once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town. The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland…with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, a group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City stars Kaya Scodelario (Crawl) as Claire Redfield, Hannah John-Kamen (Ant-Man and the Wasp) as Jill Valentine, Robbie Amell (Arrowverse) as Chris Redfield, Tom Hopper (The Umbrella Academy) as Albert Wesker, Avan Jogia (Zombieland: Double Tap) as Leon S. Kennedy, Lily Gao () as Ada Wong, Chad Rook (War for the Planet of the Apes) as Richard Aiken, Neal McDonough (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow) as William Birkin and Marina Mazepa (The Unholy) as Lisa Trevor.
