Spider-Verse heroes assemble in Spider-Man: No Way Home concept art

January 14, 2022 by Amie Cranswick

Despite more than a year of denials from Sony and everyone involved with the project, the worst kept secret in Hollywood was finally confirmed last month when Tom Holland’s Spider-Predecessors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield jumped through the multiverse to team with the MCU’s web-slinger in the Marvel blockbuster Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Now that everyone’s stopped pretending otherwise, we’ve got a piece of concept art from the film’s climactic battle showing the three Spider-Verse heroes assembling atop the new and improved Statue of Liberty; check it out below along with early concept art for the final fight between Spidey’s Holland and Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin…

For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.

Spider-Man: No Way Home sees Jon Watts (Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home) directing Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Zendaya (MJ), Marisa Tomei (Aunt May), Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds), Tony Revolori (Flash Thompson), Jon Favreau (Happy Hogan), Angourie Rice (Betty Brandt), Jorge Lendeborg Jr. (Jason Ionello), Benedict Wong (Wong), J.K. Simmons (J. Jonah Jameson), Martin Star (Mr. Harrington), J.B. Smoove (Mr. Dell), Hannibal Buress (Coach Wilson), Jamie Foxx (Electro), Alfred Molina (Doctor Octopus), Rhys Ifans (Lizard), Thomas Haden Church (Sandman), and Willem Dafoe (Green Goblin).
