Dark action fantasy The Tarnishing of Juxtia releasing this summer

Mastiff and developer Actual Nerds have revealed they will be releasing their dark fantasy 2D action RPG The Tarnishing of Juxtia on Steam for PC this Summer.  Combining dark fantasy graphics with an immersive storyline, The Tarnishing of Juxtia provides players with a challenging quest to complete.

In The Tarnishing of Juxtia players take the role of a mysterious, unnamed hero who has been tasked with saving the world by the dying god who created him.  Players must journey across two war-torn kingdoms seeking out those responsible for unleashing the supernatural plague known as the Tarnishing.  This evil plague twists victims’ bodies into bestial flesh puppets that must be destroyed if order is to be returned.

To fight the variety of evil, bestial creatures players will have a staggering array of weaponry, armour sets and abilities but the true test of skill will be against the 14 formidable bosses.

The Tarnishing of Juxtia features:

  • Face of against a variety of vicious bosses, including corrupted saints, ancient war machines, destructive gods and more.  Each multiphase boss fights will push your skills to the limit.
  • Journey through two kingdoms of 15 unique environments and uncover plenty of secrets and side quests.
  • Earn powerful new abilities by acquiring Relics from fallen bosses that can be powered up to unleash devastating abilities capable of turning the tide of battle.
  • Explore the kingdoms and uncover a wealth of unique weapons, armour sets, magic abilities and Relics.
  • Customise your characters appearance and abilities to match your playstyle by using more than 35 weapons and 18 armour sets.
  • A unique Energy Rush system rewards players with a super-charged boost of stamina and mana regeneration after landing consecutive attacks.

The Tarnishing of Juxtia is scheduled to release this summer on Steam.
