Jodie Comer to star in HBO sex therapy series Big Swiss

March 20, 2022 by Ricky Church

As Jodie Comer winds down her breakout role of Villanelle in the final season of Killing Eve, she has already found her next leading role.

According to Deadline, Comer has been cast in HBO’s Big Swiss, an adaptation of Jen Beagin’s upcoming novel of a woman whose job transcribing sex therapy sessions turns into an explosive relationship.

Comer will star as Flavia, aka Big Swiss, who “after starting a new life anonymously transcribing sex therapy sessions in Hudson, NY, becomes fixated with one of the patients, leading to an obsessive, explosive relationship between the two.”

The limited series will be produced by A24 and Adam McKay’s production company Hyperobject Industries. Comer and Beagin will both executive produce the series.

It is unknown when Big Swiss will begin production or HBO intends to premiere it, while a release date for Beagin’s novel has not yet been announced.
