Sonic the Hedgehog 2 gets nine new character posters

March 18, 2022 by Amie Cranswick

We’ve had the final trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 2, but Paramount’s marketing campaign isn’t slowing down, as we’ve now got a batch of character posters for the upcoming sequel featuring Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Tom (James Marsden), Maddie (Tika Sumpter), the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) and his right-hand man Agent Stone (Lee Majdoub), Rachel (Natasha Rothwell), and Shemar Moore in his as-yet-unrevealed role.

The world’s favorite blue hedgehog is back for a next-level adventure in SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2. After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is eager to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero. His test comes when Dr. Robotnik returns, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search for an emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations. Sonic teams up with his own sidekick, Tails, and together they embark on a globe-trotting journey to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is directed by Jeff Fowler and sees Ben Schwartz returning to voice Sonic alongside Jim Carrey (Dr. Robotnik), James Marsden (Tom Wachowski), Tika Sumpter (Maddie Wachowski), Idris Elba as the voice of Knuckles, Lee Majdoub as Agent Stone, Colleen O’Shaughnessey as the voice of Tails, Natasha Rothwell as Rachel, and Shemar Moore in his as-yet-unrevealed role.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will race into cinemas on April 8th.
