Friendship Has Evolved with creepy poster for Blumhouse techno-horror M3GAN

April 26, 2022 by Matt Rodgers

Blumhouse have previous form when it comes to supplying chills through inanimate objects with The Conjuring‘s dangerous-dolly Annabelle, and now they’re at it again with their techno-horror M3GAN, for which they’ve released a creepy new poster that you can check out below.

Produced by The Conjuring‘s puppet-master James Wan under his Atomic Monster banner, and directed by Gerard Johnstone (Housebound), M3GAN stars Get Out‘s Allison Williams as Gemma, a brilliant roboticist at a toy company who uses artificial intelligence to develop M3GAN, an uncanny valley looking doll programmed to be a kid’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally. After unexpectedly gaining custody of her orphaned niece, Gemma enlists the help of the M3GAN prototype – a decision that has unimaginable consequences.

As well as reuniting Williams with Blumhouse, M3GAN also stars Ronny Chieng (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), Violet McGraw (The Haunting of Hill House), Brian Jordan Alvarez (Will & Grace), and Kimberley Crossman (Funny Girls) as the voice of M3GAN.

M3GAN has been written by Malignant’s Akela Cooper from a story by Wan, and is set to open in cinemas on January 13th, 2023.
