Jessica Alba set for Netflix’s Confessions on the 7:45

Jessica Alba is gearing up for a small screen return a couple of years on from the cancellation of the Bad Boys spinoff L.A.’s Finest, with Variety reporting that the actress is teaming with Netflix to produce and star in an adaptation of Lisa Unger’s novel Confessions on the 7:45.

As per the trade, Confessions on the 7:45 is a psychological thriller which will see Alba playing “a working mom who meets a stranger on a train as she is commuting home who upends her life. As her life unravels and betrayals are revealed, she questions whether we can ever truly know the people closest to us.”

Charise Castro Smith is set to write and showrun the series, coming off the Oscar-winning Encanto which she co-wrote and c0-directed. Her previous TV writing credits include FOX’s The Exorcist and Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House.
