Open world vampire survival title V Rising hits Steam Early Access

May 18, 2022 by Andrew Newton

Stunlock Studios have announced the Early Access release of V Rising, their open-world vampire survival game, on Steam. Players will be able to explore a gothic world and fight monsters and bandits alone or co-op on servers with up to 40 players.  A new early access release trailer can be seen below….

Being a vampire is never an easy thing but in V Rising becoming a successful vampire and the next Dracula is a fight for survival.  Taking the role of a newly awakened vampire in a world ruled by humans, players will be able to travel the vast gothic world of Vardoran.  New vampires will be able to feed on blood in order to gain new powers and abilities, raid and pillage villages, battle bandits, build up their mighty castle and take on supernatural creatures in dark, foreboding lairs.  Though no matter how powerful players become they will still need to hide from the scorching sun.

The gothic game world of Vardoran is inhabited by up to 40 other players so aspiring vamps will be able to engage in real-time PvE and PvP combat.

“The day is finally here, our vampires have been revealed in the moonlight and it’s up to the players to discover their secrets,” said Johan Ilves, Marketing Director at Stunlock Studios. “With a lot of blood, sweat and tears (but mostly blood), we have created the foundations for a truly unique vampire gameplay experience. This Early Access campaign will allow us to fine-tune V Rising and take the final steps in creating a genre-defining gem.”

V Rising is available on Steam Early Access now, priced £15.49/ $19.99 / €19.99.
