HBO’s The Last of Us first-look footage revealed

While Warner Bros. Discovery endures a rocky transitional period, fans can at least look forward to one upcoming project from the studio.

HBO Max will see the debut of The Last of Us next year, and in a sizzle reel for the service, we now have the first preview of the hotly-anticipated series.

The video game adaptation was the grand finale of a showcase of the upcoming HBO Max slate. It seems like the studio has just as high of hopes as fans do.

The teaser starts about 1:40 into the video. In this first look, we see Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey make their debut as Joel and Ellie. Check out the tease here…

Written by Chernobyl’s Craig Mazin and creator Neil Druckmann, The Last of Us stars Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian) as Joel and Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones) as Ellie alongside Gabriel Luna, Merle Dandridge, Jeffrey Pierce, Anna Torv, Nico Parker, Murray Bartlett, Nick Offerman, Lamar Johnson, Storm Reid, Keivonn Woodard, GRaham Greene and Elaine Miles.

The Last of Us is set to arrive on HBO sometime in 2023.
