Nicolas Cage joins Ari Aster-produced A24 comedy Dream Scenario

August 31, 2022 by Matt Rodgers

Following some of the best notices of his career for self-deprecating comedy The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, Nicolas Cage is set to remain in the business of making people laugh by signing on for A24’s Ari Aster produced Dream Scenario.

Deadline reports that Dream Scenario will be written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli, whose directorial debut Sick of Myself debuted at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

A24 are set to finance the film, while Midsommar’s Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen will produce under their Square Peg banner.

Beyond the fact that Dream Scenario will be a comedy, there are no further details on the plot or any additional cast members.

Nicolas Cage has quite the slate of movies coming up; next we’ll see him in frontier epic Butcher’s Crossing, and then he’ll stick around the wild west for a bit with The Old Way, before joining Nicholas Hoult, Ben Schwartz and Awkwafina in the Dracula film Renfield.
