The Santa Clauses trailer sees Tim Allen searching for the next Santa

September 11, 2022 by Amie Cranswick

Disney has released a poster and trailer for the festive comedy series The Santa Clauses, the follow-up to the beloved Santa Clause trilogy – The Santa Clause (1994), The Santa Clause 2 (2002), and the final film in the franchise, 2006’s The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause.

The series sees Tim Allen reprise his role as Scott Calvin and follows him on his quest to find a replacement Santa when he realises just before his 65th birthday that he can’t be Father Christmas forever.

“The series will pick up with Scott Calvin on the brink of his 65th birthday and realizing that he can’t be Santa forever. He’s starting to lose a step in his Santa duties, and more importantly, he’s got a family who could benefit from a life in the normal world, especially his two kids who have grown up at the Pole. With a lot of elves, children, and family to please, Scott sets out to find a suitable replacement Santa while preparing his family for a new adventure in a life south of the pole.”

Along with Tim Allen, The Santa Clauses also sees the return of Elizabeth Mitchell as Carol/Mrs. Claus and David Krumholtz as Bernard the Elf, alongside franchise newcomers Austin Kane, Elizabeth Allen Dick, Kal Penn, Rupali Redd, Devin Bright, and Matilda Lawler.

The Santa Clauses arrives on Disney+ on November 16th.
