Anjelica Huston joins Ana de Armas and Keanu Reeves in John Wick spinoff Ballerina

November 25, 2022 by Gary Collinson

Anjelica Huston is set to make her return to the John Wick universe, with the actress signing on to reprise her John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum role as crime lord The Director in the Ana de Armas-led spinoff Ballerina.

The film is in production now, with Len Wiseman (Underworld) directing from a script by Shay Hatten (John Wick 3) and Emerald Fennell (Promising Young Woman), and sees No Time To Die and Blonde star Armas as a young woman who puts her skills to use when her family is killed by hitmen.

“The idea of Ballerina was formed around the scenes with Anjelica in John Wick 3,” said producer Erica Lee. “Anjelica Huston is an icon and is nothing less than Hollywood royalty. The world of Wick is always made richer by her commanding screen presence.”

Anjelica Huston’s The Director isn’t the only familiar face set to appear in Ballerina, as both Keanu Reeves and Ian McShane are also on board to appear as John Wick and Winston respectively. The film is currently without a release date, but will arrive in between John Wick: Chapter 4 (out March 24th) and the also-undated John Wick: Chapter 5.
