Bong Joon-Ho introduces us to Robert Pattinson’s Mickey 17 in teaser for new sci-fi

Warner Bros. has delivered us an early Christmas present by dropping the teaser for Academy Award-winning Korean director Bong Joon-Ho’s next film Mickey 17, which features Robert Pattinson as the lead and will debut in cinemas on March 29, 2024.

Based on the novel written by Edward Ashton, Mickey 17 follows an individual known as an “expendable,” a disposable employee sent on a human expedition to colonise an uninhabitable ice world. After one iteration dies, a new body is regenerated with most of his memories intact. 

Mickey 17 will be Bong’s first film since Parasite, and features a cast that includes Oscar nominees Steven Yeun (Nope), Toni Collette (Hereditary), Mark Ruffalo (Spotlight), alongside Pattinson and Naomi Ackie (I Wanna Dance with Somebody). Check out the teaser below….

Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that the next feature film from Oscar-winning writer/director/producer Bong Joon Ho (“Parasite,” “Snowpiercer”) will release in theaters around the world March 29, 2024. The film, “Mickey 17,” is currently in production and is directed, produced and scripted by the filmmaker; it is based on the novel entitled Mickey 7 by Edward Ashton.

Mickey 17 will be released in cinemas on March 29, 2024.
