Red, Kitty and a bunch of familiar faces are back in That ’90s Show trailer

December 22, 2022 by Amie Cranswick

Netflix has released a new trailer  for That ’90s Show, the spinoff to the teen sitcom That ’70s Show which sees the return of Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp as Red and Kitty Forman, and centres on their granddaughter as she comes to spend the summer with them in Wisconsin, where quickly bonds with a new generation of Point Place kids under the watchful eye of her grandparents.

Check out the trailer below, along with a full gallery of promotional images released by Netflix including guest stars Topher Grace, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Laura Prepon, Wilmer Valderrama, and Tommy Chong…

The spinoff is set 1995, with Leia Forman (Callie Haverda) desperate for some adventure in her life or at least a best friend who isn’t her dad. When she arrives in Point Place to visit her grandparents, Red and Kitty, Leia finds what she’s looking for right next door when she meets the dynamic and rebellious Gwen (Ashley Aufderheide). With the help of Gwen’s friends, including her lovable brother Nate (Maxwell Acee Donovan), his smart, laser-focused girlfriend Nikki (Sam Morelos), the sarcastic and insightful Ozzie (Reyn Doi), and the charming Jay (Mace Coronel), Leia realizes adventure could happen there just like it did for her parents all those years ago. Excited to reinvent herself, she convinces her parents to let her stay for the summer. With a basement full of teens again, Kitty is happy the Forman house is now a home for a new generation and Red is, well…Red.

That ’90s Show sees Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp reprising their roles as Red and Kitty Forman, alongside newcomers Callie Haverda, Ashley Aufderheide, Mace Coronel, Maxwell Donovan, Reyn Doi, and Sam Morelos, with Topher Grace, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Laura Prepon, Wilmer Valderrama, and Don Stark set to appear as special guests.

That ’90s Show arrives on Netflix on January 19th.
