Lance Reddick and Toby Stephens join Percy Jackson as Zeus and Poseidon

January 27, 2023 by Ricky Church

Disney’s upcoming Percy Jackson and the Olympians series has cast two of its biggest roles with Lance Reddick (John Wick) and Toby Stephens (Alex Rider) starring as the Olympian gods Zeus and Poseidon respectively.

Stephens will play Poseidon, who is the father to Percy Jackson. His character description reads: “Although seemingly absent in Percy’s life, many of Poseidon’s qualities live in Percy; stubbornness, impulsiveness and loyalty. Though he has stayed away throughout Percy’s life, his deep feelings for his son (and Percy’s mother, Sally) are evident.”

Reddick will star as Zeus, the ruler of Olympus and all the Greek gods. “The all-powerful god of the sky and leader of Mount Olympus, Zeus is tempestuous and mistrustful. He’s promised to wage a war if his stolen thunderbolt is not returned.”

We heard your calls all the way from Olympus. Welcome to #PercyJackson and the Olympians.
