First look at Nicolas Cage and Joel Kinnaman in Sympathy for the Devil

February 15, 2023 by Gary Collinson

Capstone Global and Hammerstone Studios have shared a first-look image from Sympathy for the Devil, a new psychological thriller from director Yuval Adler (Bethlehem, The Secrets We Keep) and starring Nicolas Cage and Joel Kinnaman.

As per Deadline, the film sees Kinnaman as ‘The Driver’,  “a man who finds himself in a high-stakes game of cat and mouse after being forced to drive a mysterious man, “The Passenger” (Cage). As their white-knuckle ride progresses, it becomes clear that not everything is as it seems.”

“Fans can expect an adrenaline rush watching these two powerhouse talents go toe-to-toe,” said producer Allan Ungar. “Cage is at the top of his game, and we can’t wait for audiences to see.”

Joel Kinnaman can currently be seen in Apple TV+’s sci-fi series For All Mankind, and has John Woo’s action thriller Silent Night in post-production. Cage meanwhile was most recently seen in the western The Old Way, and next appears in the role of Count Dracula in Universal’s Renfield, opening this April.
