After the success of X and Pearl, a third installment in the budding Ti West & Mia Goth universe made sense. Now, we are seeing the 80s madness unfold in the first images of MaXXXine.
Shortly after production has begun on the slasher sequel, we get our first real look at Mia Goth’s transformation into this new Maxine. The character was introduced in X as a strong young woman looking to become a star in the adult industry. Maxine’s dreams could be coming true given her look and Hollywood setting.
In the image, shared by studio A24, Goth is with Halsey, who was recently announced as part of the ensemble cast. Little is known about the plot or the characters, but it will reportedly follow Maxine’s murderous misadventures in Hollywood. The caption on the image alludes to her quote from the film, saying, “The life she deserves.”

Ti West’s MaXXXine is currently in production, with no set release date.
