Bottoms trailer follows the journey to getting punched by hot cheerleaders

June 7, 2023 by EJ Moreno

Who wouldn’t want to get punched by the hottest people they know? That’s the premise of the new raunchy teen comedy Bottoms, from filmmaker Emma Seligman and co-writer Rachel Sennott.

Bottoms will follow two high school senior girls (Rachel Sennott and Ayo Edebiri) who set up a fight club as a guise to hook up with cheerleaders. It seems like the journey to get with these girls takes a wild turn when the jocks of the school begin to fight back against the fight club.

Alongside Sennot and Edebiri, the film also stars Havana Rose Liu, Kaia Gerber, Nicholas Galitzine, Dagmara Domińczyk, and Marshawn Lynch in supporting roles.

One of the film’s stars, Kaia Gerber, told Elle the cast and crew took the fight scenes seriously. “We’re throwing punches. We got to do stunt training, which was very cool,” she told the publication. “I think people are like, ‘Oh, cute. A little girly fight club.’ No, it’s a real fight club.”

Check out the hard-hitting & hilarious trailer below…

Bottoms is set for release in the United States in select theaters on August 25th, with additional cities on September 1st.
