Christina Hodson and Lindsey Beer join Transformers writer’s room

June 3, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Originally published June 3, 2015. Updated April 14, 2018.

It looks like Paramount and Hasbro is moving full steam ahead with its plans to extend its Transformers universe. Last week it was revealed that Ant-Man scribes Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari had signed on to develop what is believed to be a Cybertron-set prequel, and now comes word that Christina Hodson (The Eden Project) and Lindsey Beer (Dig) have joined the Transformers “writer’s room”.

The shared Transformers universe is being steered by Michael Bay, Steven Spielberg and Akiva Goldsman, while other writers on board include Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead), Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (Iron Man), Zak Penn (Pacific Rim 2) and Jeff Pinkner (The Amazing Spider-Man 2).

As yet there’s no concrete word on the studio’s plans for its upcoming Transformers slate, although it’s said to encompass both sequels to the first four movies as well as spin-offs, with Hasbro chief Brian Goldner suggesting last week that a Bumblebee feature could be on the cards.
