Former Daredevil showrunner Steven DeKnight joins Transformers writers room

June 9, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Fresh from his exploits in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it has been announced that former Daredevil showrunner Steven DeKnight has become the latest name to join the Transformers writers room over at Paramount Pictures.

Headed up by Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind), the studio’s writers room now includes Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead), Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (Iron Man), Zak Penn (Pacific Rim 2), Jeff Pinkner (The Amazing Spider-Man 2), Christina Hodson (The Eden Project), Lindsey Beer (Dig), Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari (Ant-Man), Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down) and Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Hibernation).

In addition to Transformers 5, the writers will all be pitching ideas for various spinoffs set in the Transformers universe, which will subsequently be turned into treatments should they meet the approval of Paramount, Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg.
