Sarah Hyland to star in The Wedding Year for Legally Blonde director

May 3, 2018 by Amie Cranswick

Variety is reporting that Modern Family star Sarah Hyland is set to headline the romantic comedy The Wedding Year, which is being directed by Robert Luketic (Legally Blonde, Monster-in-Law, The Ugly Truth).

The film will see Hyland as “a Los Angeles photographer who’s never getting married. So, when she and her new ready-to-settle-down boyfriend are invited to 15 weddings in the same year, the pressure is on to make some big decisions.”

“All of us at Lakeshore are delighted to be collaborating with Robert once again,” said producer Gary Lucchesi of Lakeshore Entertainment. “He is a wonderful director and we had a great success together with The Ugly Truth.”

In addition to starring, Hyland will also serve as executive producer on the film, which is set to go into production later this month.
