8-Bit Armies to deploy on consoles for pixelated war this September

May 3, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Soedesco has revealed that their fast paced real time strategy game 8-Bit Armies will be arriving on Xbox One and Playstation 4 on the 21st of September, the game will be available both digitally and physically with a physical copy also making an appearance for PC gamers.  A new gameplay trailer accompanying the announcement can be seen below.

This tribute to the classic RTS games of bygone days combines a  colourful, blocky voxel art style with a unique and simplified control scheme to create a game easily accessible to anyone regardless of experience.  Plus, there is also an original soundtrack composed by Command & Conquer composer Frank Klepacki.

8-Bit Armies will allow budding generals to collect resources, build up and defend their bases, research devastating weaponry and control hundreds of units through a variety of colourful destructible maps.

Players will be able to fight their way through 40 single player missions or team up with a friend to tackle 12 co-op missions.  If that isn’t enough there’s even online multiplayer for up to five other players or AIs.

Welcome to the fast-paced combat of 8-Bit Armies! Collect resources, build up and defend your base, research devastating superweapons, and crush your opponents in an epic clash of firepower! Launch massive armies of tanks, artillery, aircraft, snipers, engineers and more, to dominate the battlefield. Join your friends and play online in versus or co-op missions, or fight it out with a group of our toughest computer generals in the solo campaign or AI skirmish battles.

8-Bit Armies will deploy on 21st September on Xbox One and PS4.
