Survive a plasticine world in Disdoored, coming to Steam Early Access this month

May 22, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Publishers Bitbox Ltd. and developer Anton Riot have announced that they will be bringing their wacky plasticine survival title Disdoored to Steam Early Access for PC later this month.  This all new adventure has been entirely handmade and hand animated using over 20 lbs of plasticine.  You can see a trailer for this upcoming title below…

Disdoored places players in the role of a plasticine defender of a claymation world as it comes under attack from a horde of vicious monsters hellbent on smashing up the peaceful land.  These monsters have entered through a set of mysterious doors that opened across the land, fortunately what has been opened can be closed but it will mean befriending and growing a sentient sapling called Lily who holds the secret.

Players will need to establish a base, cultivate farmland, create defenses and amass an arsenal to take back the land from the invading creatures.  Some of the creatures coming through can be domesticated and changed to help in your survival.

“The idea behind Disdoored came to me initially because it seemed like plasticine and video game design were a perfect union,” said Anton Riot, Lead Developer for Disdoored. “Shifting from the game design and programming aspects of development, to the molding of the models, to taking still images and finally watching a physical creation come to life has been a wonderful experience. The whole team is so passionate about this game and we’re looking forward to sharing Disdoored with the world!”

Disdoored arrives on Steam Early Access later this month.
