Allison Janney to join Hugh Jackman in Bad Education

June 18, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Back in March it was announced that Hugh Jackman had signed on to lead the cast of Bad Education, the new film from Thoroughbreds director Cory Finley, and now Deadline is reporting that he will be joined by Oscar-winner Allison Janney (I, Tonya).

Scripted by Mike Makowsky (I Think We’re Alone Now) and loosely based upon his own high school experience, the film sees Jackman as a superintendent of a school district who who works for the betterment of the student’s education while embezzling public funds to live the life he wants.

Janney is set to portray the school district business manager, who is in on the scheme and helping Jackman’s character to cover their tracks, while enjoying living the high life off the back of the embezzlement.

Janney has recently signed on to star in the feature film Troupe Zero alongside Jim Gaffigan, Viola Davis and Mckenna Grace, and can currently be seen in the series Mom, which has recently been renewed for a sixth season by CBS.
