Sniper Rust VR arrives on the Oculus Store and Steam

June 19, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Developer Zatun have announced the release of their VR sharp shooter Sniper Rust VR for the Oculus Rift via Steam and the Oculus store.  Putting players behind the scope of an insanely powerful sniper rifle, Sniper Rust VR is one of the first sharpshooting experiences to arrive on the Oculus Rift.

Sniper Rust VR features a intense single player campaign that sees players take the role of a highly skilled hired gun employed by a secret organisation to perform 18 missions against an armed global militia across four diverse environments.

The game features:

  • A variety of real world weapons including DSR-50, SVD sniper rifle, the MaC-7 inspired by the CheyTac M200 and the Scout Rifle-inspired DG-5000.
  • Diverse enemy classes such as concealed snipers and air/group assaults.
  • A soundtrack composed by John Leonard French.
  • Four photorealistic environments to explore.

“Following the successful launch of our free-to-play mobile sharpshooter game Sniper 3D Rust earlier this year, we’re thrilled to add Sniper Rust VR to our growing game portfolio,” said Abhinav Chokhavatia, Founder and CEO of Zatun. “With Sniper Rust VR’s realistic weapons, real-world effects and challenging missions, we think players are really going to enjoy feeling like they’re actually in the game. Sniper Rust VR truly brings the sharpshooting game experience to another level!”

Sniper Rust VR is available to purchase now from Steam or the Oculus Store.
