First look at Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown season 3

Netflix has unveiled a first official image from the upcoming third season of the acclaimed historical drama series The Crown, which features Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II. Take a look here…

The Crown is shaking up its cast for the third season as the show continues to explore the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, this time across the period of 1964 to 1976.

Colman replaces Claire Foy as the monarch, while Tobias Menzies plays Prince Philip and Helena Bonham Carter portrays Princess Margaret. Jason Watkins has been cast as Labour Prime Minister Harold Wilson, with Ben Daniels as Lord Snowdon and Erin Doherty as Princess Anne.

As yet there’s no word on a premiere date for The Crown season 3, but expect it later this year.
