Jamie Foxx praises Jeremy Renner and talks about working with him on Spawn

July 19, 2018 by Samuel Brace

Jamie Foxx has talked about working with Jeremy Renner on Todd McFarlane’s Spawn, praising the actor’s talents.

Casting is currently underway for the upcoming Spawn movie and the film already has the attention of a lot of people thanks to the casting of Jamie Foxx in the titular role.

Jeremy Renner has also come onboard for the movie as Twitch Williams and Foxx has sung Renner’s praises while speaking to Yahoo!: “And Jeremy Renner — I interviewed him on Off Script, and every time I’d see Jeremy Renner, I’d go, ‘You’re not just an actor, you’re a bad motherfucker. You’re different — really different. So doing Spawn is like doing a three-man trio; there isn’t a lot of instrumentation, but everybody that’s playing has to be a badass. So I’m practicing. Todd McFarlane is already a badass.

“But then you see Jeremy Renner, and you go, wow. Because the script revolves around the character Twitch, and you can look at Jeremy Renner’s face for an hour and a half and be moved. That’s a wonderful partner, and it makes you feel good about the project.”

It doesn’t seem like it could be possible but are you as excited at Renner’s casting in Spawn as Foxx is? The film is unquestionably assembling quite the cast.
