GRIP: Combat Racing gets a release date and new trailer

August 2, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Wired Productions and developer Caged Element Inc. have announced that their furiously fast, futuristic arcade combat racer, GRIP: Combat Racing, will arrive on Xbox One, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC on 6th November.  Players will be able to race through hostile worlds in armoured cars for swift and brutal fun.  Watch the release date announcement trailer to see the fast paced action….

Inspired by the Rollcage games of the late 90s, GRIP: Combat Racing will see players race their way around 22 strange and hostile worlds in one of 15 armoured cars at speeds of over 767mph.  There are plenty of vehicles that cater for different playstyles with some that are swift and agile but less well protected, while others are heavily armoured but slower.  Drivers will get to deploy an arsenal of 9 outlandish weapons and power-ups that can be used against the destructible environment as well as the opposition.

“We’re getting pretty excited as we near the finish line on GRIP,” said Chris Mallinson, Game Director. “It’s been surreal to see this passion project evolve into the intense combat racing experience that players will soon be able to dive into.”

Look out for GRIP: Combat Racing coming to PC and consoles this November.
