Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season coming to Nintendo Switch this month

August 21, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Telltale and Skybound Entertainment have announced that The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season will launch on the Nintendo Switch on 28th August in Europe, North America and Australia.

The ‘Game of the Year’ award winning first season will feature all five original episodes plus the add-on anthology 400 Days.  Both of these have been ported from The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series Collection, which released last year on other formats and offered substantial visual and performance enhancements over previous editions.

The Complete First Season sees the beginnings of the zombie… sorry, Walker apocalypse and follows the series’ first hero Lee Everett as he takes young survivor Clementine under his wing.

In the add on, 400 Days, players will follow the stories of several survivors whose lives become interconnected by the truck stop/ diner that becomes a temporary refuge.

The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series has sold more than 50 million episodes worldwide, earned more than 100 Game of the Year awards and even received two BAFTA Video Games Awards for Best Story.

Telltale has also announced that The Walking Dead: Season Two and The Walking Dead: A New Frontier will both be shambling their way to the Nintendo Switch later this year.

The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season will be available digitally on the Nintendo eShop on 28th August.
