THR is reporting that Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland has sold a new animated series to Hulu, with the streaming service placing a two-season, sixteen episode order for Solar Opposites.
Solar Opposites “follows a family of aliens ‘from a better world’ who take refuge in middle America. Roiland is set to lend his voice to two characters, while Sean Giambrone (The Goldbergs) and Mary Mack (Golan the Insatiable) are also part of the cast.
Roiland has created the show with Rick and Morty writer and executive producer Mike McMahan, and the two will split their time between Solar Opposites and Rick and Morty, the latter of which was recently renewed for a further 70 episodes by Adult Swim.
Solar Opposites is expected to premiere in 2020.
