Stranded Deep arrives on Xbox One and Playstation 4 this October

September 20, 2018 by Andrew Newton

For those of you who have been watching Youtubers play the successful ‘desert island’ Steam title Stranded Deep and wishing you could play it on your console, there’s a bit of good news for you, on 9th October Telltale Games will be releasing the game on Xbox One and PS4.  Working alongside developer Beam Team Games, Telltale Games will give console gamers their very own chance to survive a plane crash in the Pacific Ocean.  A new trailer can be seen below…

In Stranded Deep players will find themselves stranded on a chain of deserted islands in the Pacific Ocean.  With no chance of help coming and no comforts of the civilised world, players will need to push their survival skills to the max and craft tools, manage hunger and thirst, find shelter and survive long enough for help to come…..if it ever does.

Stranded Deep features:

  • Battle the Elements – Manage your thirst and hunger, gather materials needed to craft tools, shelter and even transport then face down the ocean’s deadliest predators.
  • Test Your Nerve – Provides options for opt-in permadeath, random loot, rare collectibles and to procedurally randomise the world to make each playthrough uniquely treacherous.
  • Complete the Journey – With the game’s arrival on consoles, Stranded Deep boasts a wealth of additional content, including new items, new wildlife, new mysteries and a definitive ending.

Telltale Games did a pretty decent job of bringing the hit zombie survival title, 7 Days to Die, to console so here’s hoping they repeat that success with Stranded Deep.

Stranded Deep is available for pre-order now for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
