Cop thriller Black and Blue adds Frank Grillo, Reid Scott, Beau Knapp and Tyrese Gibson

January 14, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Deadline is reporting that Screen Gems’ cop thriller Black and Blue has filled out its cast with the addition of Frank Grillo (Captain America: Civil War), Reid Scott (Venom), Beau Knapp (Destroyer) and Tyrese Gibson (The Fate of the Furious).

Black and Blue will see Oscar-nominated actress Naomie Harris (Moonlight) taking on the role of a rookie police officer who witnesses the murder of a drug dealer by corrupt cops, only for them to pin it on her. She then faces a fight for survival, hunted by both the cops and the drug dealers out for revenge.

Deon Taylor (Traffik) is on board to direct the film from a script by Peter A. Dowling (Flightplan), and filming will get underway soon. As yet, there’s no word on a potential release date.
