STXfilms and Lakeshore Entertainment have announced that filming is now underway on The Boy 2, the follow-up to the hit 2016 horror from director William Brent Bell (The Devil Inside).
The Boy 2 follows a young family who move into the Heelshire Mansion estate, unaware of its terrifying history, only for their young son to soon make an unsettling new friend, an eerily life-like doll he calls Brahms.
Brent Bell is once again directing the film from a script by Stacey Menear, while Katie Holmes (Logan Lucky) leads the cast alongside Christopher Convery (The Girl in the Spider’s Web), Owain Yeoman (The Belko Experiment), and Ralph Ineson (The Witch).
The Boy, which starred The Walking Dead’s Lauren Cohan, proved to be a solid hit for STX, grossing almost $65 million from a $10 million budget.
