With director J.J. Abrams wrapping filming on Star Wars: Episode IX last week, anticipation for the closing chapter of the Skywalker Saga is slowly starting to build as fans wait patiently for Disney and Lucasfilm’s marketing machine to kick into gear.
According to Star Wars News Net, the first trailer for the still-untitled Episode IX is set to be with us by the end of April, and will be attached to fellow Disney box office behemoth Avengers: Endgame when the Marvel blockbuster arrives in cinemas on April 26th.
Now, SWNN’s report is somewhat vague and light on specifics, so very well may well be little more than speculation. However, given that: a) Star Wars Celebration takes place between April 11th and 15th; and b) Disney would be crazy not to market Episode IX in front of Endgame, it would seem a pretty safe bet that the trailer will indeed land at some point during the month – most likely during the Episode IX panel at Celebration (as with Star Wars: The Last Jedi back in 2017).

Whether we’ll get anything else before then, such as a title reveal, we’ll just have to wait and see…
