Sansa Stark will become “the warrior of Winterfell” in Game of Thrones’ final season, says Sophie Turner

February 21, 2019 by Samuel Brace

According to actress Sophie Turner, her character Sansa Stark will get to don her own armor in the final season of Game of Thrones.

The character of Sansa Stark has been through an awful lot during Game of Thrones and has undergone some big changes in terms of her appearance. From a meek young girl in the early days to a formidable political player in later years, Sansa is constantly evolving with age.

The final season of Game of Thrones sounds like there will be another new look for the character as actress Sophie Turner has revealed a new costume detail in a recent interview with EW – one that makes an awful lot of sense considering the impending battle for Westeros:

“This is the first time I’ve had armor. We the idea of it being very protective and she buttons herself up. I wanted her to have a bit of armor and be a bit more warrior like. She’s like the warrior of Winterfell.”

Considering all the danger that is surely coming her way, this would seem like a shrewd move! Are you looking forward to the final seasons of Game of Thrones? Let us know what you hope to see in the comments below or tweet us @FlickeringMyth…
