Plains of Eidolon remaster out now for Warframe on PC

April 5, 2019 by Patrick Nolan

Digital Extremes has released a trailer today showing of some of the new additions to the Plains of Eidolon remaster for Warframe. The update is out today, and you can check out the trailer here…

The graphical overhaul, released today, will make use of many of the features that were added with the release of Fortuna last year. Many of the changes will affect lighting and details on the scenery of the plains, including bushes and trees. Gameplay will also be getting a mix-up in the overhaul. The K-drive, a new skateboard like vehicle added last year, will have new environments to interact with. A new Grineer threat will appear on the plains with the update too. The Tusk Thumpers are described in a press release as “pneumatic ground pounders that smash anything in their way as they crawl and leap across the Plains.”

Although the update is out today for PC users of Warframe, console players should expect the update to arrive ‘soon.’

There is also a host of other updates in the pipeline for the free to play MMO. The ‘Railjack’ mode for instance, was announced last year at Tennocon and is expected to introduce a greater variety of space combat to the Warframe universe. A new story expansion knowns as the ‘New War’ was also revealed, yet information has been slim on that front so far. It’s likely we will see more from both updates at Tennocon this year in July on the 6th.

Will you be checking out the Eidolon graphical overhaul? Tell us in the comments below…
