John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum becomes the highest-grossing entry in the series in just 10 days

Lionsgate’s John Wick franchise continues to go from strength to strength, with the latest instalment John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum dethroning Avengers: Endgame at the box office with a franchise high opening two weekends back as it proved to be another smash hit with both fans and critics alike.

Coming out of the Memorial Day holiday weekend at the box office, Parabellum pushed its global box office to $181 million, surpassing the entire $171.5 million box office run of 2017’s John Wick: Chapter 2 to become the highest-grossing instalment of the action-packed assassin series in just 10 days of release.

Produced on a budget of $55 million, Parabellum has now amassed $185.6 million as it heads into its third weekend, while the franchise sits on a combined $446 million from the first three instalments. Meanwhile, a fourth movie has already been announced and will hit cinemas on May 21st 2021.

John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum reunites Keanu Reeves with director Chad Stahelski and also features returning cast members Ian McShane, Laurence Fishburne, and Lance Reddick alongside newcomers Hiroyuki Sanada (47 Ronin, The Wolverine), Anjelica Huston (Isle of Dogs), Halle Berry (Kingsman: The Golden Circle), Asia Kate Dillon (Billions), Mark Dacascos (Lucky Day), Jerome Flynn (Game of Thrones), Jason Mantzoukas (The House), Tiger Hu Chen (Man of Tai Chi), Robin Lord Taylor (Gotham) and The Raid’s Yayan Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rahman.
