Sigourney Weaver to appear in Ghostbusters reboot

Following the previous announcements that Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson and Annie Potts have alled joined the cast of the Ghostbusters reboot in cameo roles, it has now been confirmed that Sigourney Weaver – who played Dana Barrett in the original films – is also set to appear. Director Paul Feig confirmed on Twitter that she will be in the movie, claiming the news was due to leak…

Gang, trying to keep surprises but this is about to leak, so I'll tell you myself: the awesome Sigourney Weaver is going to be in our movie!

Ghostbusters is set for release on July 22nd, 2016 and sees Paul Feig (Spy) directing a cast that includes Kristin Wiig (Bridesmaids), Melissa McCarthy (Spy), Leslie Jones (Saturday Night Live), Kate McKinnon (Saturday Night Live), Chris Hemsworth (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Andy Garcia (The Godfather: Part III), Michael K. Williams (Boardwalk Empire), Matt Walsh (Veep), Cecily Strong (Saturday Night Live) and Neil Casey (Saturday Night Live).
