Kid Cudi joins Bill & Ted Face the Music

June 16, 2019 by Amie Cranswick

As casting continues in the long-awaited Bill & Ted Face the Music, Deadline is reporting that Grammy winner Kid Cudi (a.k.a. Scott Mescudi) has joined the cast of the time-travelling comedy adventure in an as-yet-unrevealed role.

Bill & Ted Face the Music will see Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves reprising their roles as the Wyld Stallyns, while Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey star William Salder is also back as the Grim Reaper and Samara Weaving (The Babysitter) and Brigette Lundy-Paine (Atypical) have been cast as the daughter’s of Bill and Ted respectively.

The official synopsis for Bill & Ted Face the Music reads:

Following 1989’s Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and 1991’s Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, the stakes are higher than ever for William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. (Alex Winter) and Theodore “Ted” Logan (Keanu Reeves). Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure, when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe. Along the way, they will be helped by their families, old friends and a few music legends.

Bill & Ted Face the Music is being directed by Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) from a script by original Bill & Ted writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon and is set for release on August 21st 2020.
