Oliver Jackson-Cohen is Leigh Whannell’s Invisible Man

Upgrade director Leigh Whannell and horror powerhouse Blumhouse plan to bring back the classic Universal Monster movie The Invisible Man, and we now have our titular character.

Oliver Jackson-Cohen, a highlight from Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House, will take on the iconic role. He joins previously cast Elisabeth Moss, Storm Reid, Aldis Hodge, and Harriet Dyer in the upcoming film.

This version of the classic tale is said to be character-driven and scary, according to Blumhouse and Universal. The story for Whannell’s The Invisible Man will follow Cecilia (Moss), who receives the news of her abusive ex-boyfriend’s suicide. She begins to rebuild her life for the better. However, her sense of reality is put into question when she begins to suspect her deceased lover is not dead.

The Invisible Man returns on March 13th, 2020.
