Crisis on Infinite Earths will see the return of Jon Cryer’s Lex Luthor

July 26, 2019 by Gary Collinson

The cast of The CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths continues to grow, with Jon Cryer the latest actor confirmed for this year’s Arrowverse crossover, reprising his Supergirl role as the iconic DC villain Lex Luthor.

Inspired by the classic DC Comics event, Crisis on Infinite Earths will span five of The CW’s DC shows – Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman – and will feature a number of guest stars  including Elizabeth Tulloch (Lois Lane), Tyler Hoechlin (Superman) and LaMonica Garrett (The Monitor/The Anti-Monitor).

During the San Diego Comic-Con, it was also announced that Brandon Routh will be appearing as an alternate Earth version of Superman, inspired by the graphic novel Kingdom Come, while Burt Ward is also set to feature, although it’s not clear if he’ll be reprising his Dick Grayson/Robin role from the classic 60s Batman TV series.

Crisis on Infinite Earths will get underway on The CW in December 2019 with the first three parts, followed by the remaining two in January 2020 after a short winter break.
