The Haunting of Bly Manor will be “much scarier” than Hill House, says creator

August 13, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Mike Flanagan, the creator of The Haunting of Hill House, says that his new series, The Haunting of Bly Manor, is “much scarier”.

The Haunting of Hill House was one of the best horror experiences of 2019 and proved to be tremendously popular with Netflix viewers. But how will the follow-up series, The Haunting of Bly Manor, compare?

According to creator Mike Flanagan, Bly Manor – based on Henry James’ The Turn of the Screw – is going to be way scarier. Speaking to Birth.Movies.Death, he said: ”

“For Henry James fans, it’s going to be pretty wild, and for people who aren’t familiar with his work, it’s going to be unbelievably scary. I already think it’s much scarier than season one, so I’m very excited about it.”
