Black Panther 2 might start filming in 2021 says Martin Freeman

August 23, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Martin Freeman, one of the stars of Black Panther 2, says that the movie could start filming in 2021.

The next phase of Marvel movies is nearly upon us and fans are excited to see what the future holds. One film that is quite a way away on the horizon is Black Panther 2 but its one that is easily among the most anticipated by fans.

When might filming get underway? Well, Martin Freeman who is set to star in the movie has an idea about when the cameras might start shooting. Speaking to Uproxx, the actor said: “The last I heard, we won’t be doing it next year. So, it might be 2021 when we’re making the next Black Panther. That’s all I know.”

While fans might be hoping things get going sooner than that, there will be plenty of Marvel content to tide them over, with not just big-screen offerings but Disney+ TV series as well.

Black Panther 2 is expected to be featured as part of Marvel’s Phase Five slate alongside the previously announced Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
