Disney releases deleted Aladdin song ‘Desert Moon’

August 29, 2019 by Liam Waddington

Disney has released a brand new song that was cut from the final theatrical release of Disney’s Aladdin in preparation for the home release of the film coming on 23rd September 2019.

The song, titled ‘Desert Moon’, features a duet between Aladdin and Jasmine while they are physically in two different places. Although, the song isn’t as powerful or as memorable when in comparison to the original track ‘Speechless’ that was featured in the film.

You can check out the deleted Aladdin song ‘Desert Moon’ and accompanying scene here…

What do you think of ‘Desert Moon’? Do you think they should have kept the song in the final release of Aladdin? Let us know in the comments below or tweet us @flickeringmyth…

A thrilling and vibrant live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated classic, “Aladdin” is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future.

Aladdin is directed by Guy Ritchie (King Arthur: Legend of the Sword) and features a cast that includes Mena Massoud (Aladdin), Naomi Scott (Princess Jasmine), Will Smith (Genie), Marwan Kenzari (Jafar), Navid Negahban (The Sultan), Nasim Pedrad (Dalia), Billy Magnussen (Prince Anders), Numan Acar (Hakim), Alan Tudyk (Iago) and Frank Welker (Abu).
