New gameplay trailer for WWII tactical RPG Broken Lines

January 8, 2020 by Andrew Newton

Super.com and developer PortaPlay have today released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming tactical RPG Broken Lines which focuses on the game’s narrative elements.  This new trailer showcases some of the interactions between characters and the effects this has on the game world.  You can enjoy this trailer below….

Broken Lines follows a squad of British soldiers who have crash-landed behind enemy lines in an alternate World War II history.  Each soldier has their own skills and attitudes which can be used in combat to help get the boys back to Blighty.  However, each soldier also has their own beliefs and personal baggage which must be dealt with and managed to avoid a catastrophic end.

When combat takes place it is similar to that of most other turn-based tactical RPG but differs in that when new enemies and hazards appear the game pauses to allow players to make alterations to their strategy.

War is about hard decisions and moral gray areas – in Broken Lines you’ll make hard choices to ensure your squad’s survival.  Immerse yourself in a unique and very personal story, experienced through the eyes of eight distinct soldiers.

Broken Lines will arrive on Steam in the near future.
