M. Night Shyamalan thriller starring James McAvoy titled Split, release date revealed

M. Night Shyamalan’s (The Visit latest thriller, starring James McAvoy (Victor Frankenstein), has been titled Split and will be released in January 2017, according to Deadline.

Split is set to go in front of cameras in November, with Blumhouse Pictures producing the low-budget suspense thriller.

The film will open in US cinemas on January 20th 2017.

Anya Taylor Joy (The Witch), Haley Lu Richardson (The Last Survivors), Betty Buckley (The Happening) and Jessica Sula (Skins) are set to star alongside McAvoy.

Split keeps Shyamalan in the world of low-budget filmmaking after the impressive box office success of The Visit, which is nearing a worldwide total of $90m from a meagre $5m budget.
